Our Story
Saguaro Home Co. began with a simple frustration: almost nothing sold for the table felt like it belonged in a desert house.
We started in a converted garage in southern Arizona, making a small run of sand-glazed candle vessels for friends. People kept asking where the rest of the collection was. There wasn’t one yet, so we built it slowly – a stoneware bowl, then a woven runner, then a mesquite board cut from a fallen limb.
What we make
Everything in the shop is chosen for a table that gets used. Warm clay, unbleached cotton, solid timber and hand-blown glass, in the colours the landscape already gives us: sand, sage, terracotta and the deep brown of wet mesquite.
We work in small batches with a short list of makers. That means a run sells out sometimes, and it means no two glazed pieces come out quite the same. We think that is the point.
How we work
- Small runs, made to be used daily rather than displayed.
- Natural materials, finished by hand, with the variation that comes with them.
- Recycled and recyclable packaging, with no plastic void fill.
- A real person answers the email.
